 | Are you Insured and Bonded? |
- We are insured and bonded through Business Insurers of the Carolinas &
Century Insurance Group. Our policies protect the property and pets of our
clients.
| What are your minimum visit requirements for cat sitting and dog | |
| walking? |
- We require a minimum of 1 visit every day for cat sitting, and at least 4 walks
every week for dog walking. We do not offer every other day cat sitting.
| Will you pet sit if family or friends are also taking care of my pets? |
- We have found that the more people sharing pet care responsibilities, the
higher the risk of miscommunication and confusion. We feel that your pets will
receive more consistent and reliable care with only one responsible party -so
we only accommodate pet sitting requests where we will be the sole pet care
provider.
| What are your cat sitting and dog walking hours? |
- Our pet care hours are between 8am and 8pm. For kitties receiving 2 visits
per day, visits will be at least 8 hours apart. For kitties receiving 1 visit per
day, your kitty's first visit will be based on your departure time and all
remaining visits will be during the same 3-hr range each day. Our dog walking
visits occur within one of three assigned time ranges: 11am-1pm, 12-2pm, or
1-3pm. Pets on time sensitive medications or with health conditions will
receive priority scheduling.
| What happens if my pet becomes ill while I am away? |
- We closely monitor pets during our visits for any signs of illness or injury. In
the event of an emergency, we will contact you and can immediately transport
your pet to your veterinarian or local emergency clinic.
| What should I expect at the initial consultation? |
- Expect to meet with us for approximately 30 minutes. During the initial
consultation we will obtain information about your pet and the type of care
your pet requires. We will also leave you with a New Client Packet which
provides you with business cards and other pertinent information.
| What will you need from me at the consultation? |
- We will need two tested copies of your house key, mail key (if necessary),
veterinary information, proof of rabies vaccination, and a completed Client &
Veterinary Release form.
| Why do you need two copies of my house key? |
- When we are pet sitting for you, we will leave one key in our lock box and
bring one with us for the pet sit. This ensures that we always have a way into
your home in case of loss or damage to the original key.
| What will happen to my keys after the pet sit? |
- We typically hold our client's house keys in our lock box for future services. If
you wish to have your keys returned, we will be happy to make other
arrangements.
| Are there cat sits or dog walks that you will not accept? |
- While we love all pets, we will not walk unaltered dogs (except for those that
are not yet old enough for spaying/neutering), and we will not care for pets
that have bitten or shown aggression.
