FAQs

Are you Insured?
We are insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas & Century
Insurance Group.  Our policies protect the property and pets of our clients.

What are your dog walking hours?
Our dog walking hours are Monday-Friday and occur within one of three
assigned time ranges: 11am-1pm, 12-2pm, or 1-3pm.  Pets on time sensitive
medications or with health conditions will receive priority scheduling.

What should I expect at the initial consultation?
Expect to meet with us for approximately 30 minutes.  During the initial
consultation we will obtain information about your pet and the type of care
your pet requires.  We will also leave you with a New Client Packet which
provides you with business cards and other pertinent information.

What will you need from me at the consultation?
We will need two tested copies of your house key and your veterinary
    information.

Why do you need two copies of my house key?
When we are dog walking for you, we will leave one key in our lock box and
bring one with us for the walk.  This ensures that we always have a way into
your home in case of loss or damage to the original key.

What is your holiday schedule?
Dog walks will not take place on the following holidays: New Years Day,
Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day
after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

How do I pay for my dog walking service?
We accept cash, check, or credit card through PayPal.  Payment is due on
the first walk of each week.

How are cancellations handled?
For unplanned cancellations, credit will be issued the following week provided
cancellations are made by 9am on the day of the scheduled walk.  For
planned days off (vacations, work holidays, etc.) or changes to the regular
dog walk schedule, we ask that you inform the office via phone or email the
    month prior.

What happens if my pet becomes ill while I am away?
We closely monitor pets during our visits for any signs of illness or injury.  In
the event of an emergency, we will contact you and can immediately transport
your pet to your veterinarian or local emergency clinic.

Are there dog walks that you will not accept?
While we love all pets, we will not walk unaltered dogs (except for those that
are not yet old enough for spaying/neutering), and we will not care for pets
that have bitten or shown aggression.
