Whiskers n' Tails is a husband and wife owned pet care business that caters to
furry friends living in the following Montgomery County areas: Clarksburg,
Germantown, and the Kentlands neighborhood in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Teamed with a mature and reliable back-up pet sitter, we make up one
fantastic and very experienced team of pet care providers whose mission is to
keep your pet safe and happy while in our care. We are certified in both Pet
CPR and Pet First Aid, and our business is fully insured and registered with
the state of Maryland.
Matt
I’m the full time pet care provider for Whiskers n’ Tails, and I also work part
time as a veterinary technician for a local animal hospital. I have 15 years of
pet sitting, dog walking, and pet owning experience. I have a degree in
physics from Frostburg State University and have spent the last six years
working in project management and estimating. For several years, my wife
and I discussed getting away from the “desk life” and working with animals. In
2005 we decided to take the plunge and start our own pet care business -
Whiskers n' Tails. We have never been happier! We thank each and every
one of our clients for making our lives so enriched.
Rebecca
I am Matt’s wife of 5 years and best friend of 17. In addition to caring for your
furry ones along side of Matt, I also work in software support. (Matt really
lucked out - he gets his own free computer tech!) I have 12 years of pet
sitting, 2 years of veterinary office, and a lifetime of pet owning experience.
Each and every day I am so happy that we made the decision to join the pet
care world. The rewards are countless!

We’re the three spokespets of Whiskers n’ Tails. Although you won’t be
meeting us or having us interact with your pets, we are a very important part of
Whiskers n’ Tails too! We share our parents' time with your pets so that they
can be properly cared for when you are away. Our parents are wonderful
caretakers and they have supported many rescue groups in our lifetimes,
starting with all of our adoptions. We are happy with Mom and Dad’s choice to
open Whiskers n’ Tails. Now not only do we get many more daytime hours with
Dad, but every time Mom and Dad come home from a pet sit, they have great
new ideas about toys and games that they have learned from your pets - so
thanks to all of you!
